About Me:

Hi, I am Tejas, an explorer of this data driven world.

• I am a third-year undergradutate student pursuing Computer Science and Engineering, complemented by a minors in Mathematics at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar.
• Intrigued by the mathematics driven world of trade, I am exploring the field of Quantitative Finance.
• I am also a Data Science enthusiast, with a keen interest in Probability and Deep Learning, and have been exploring the intersection of Data Science and Finance.
• Along with this, I am passionate for exploring the dark skies and have been an amateur astrophotographer for the past 4 years.

Recents:

Aug’2025: Signed up for the project course under Prof. Shanmuganathan Raman and Dr. Harish Katti, for developing a state of the art model for coming up with a model to generate human meshes for the animal.

July 2025: Completed my research internship at IIT Bombay under Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan, in the field of Computer vision and Deep Learning.

June 2025: Participated in Hackon by Amazon. Stood in top 140 teams out of the 15000 teams.

May 2025: Joined as a Research Intern at the IIT Bombay under Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan, in the field of Computer vision and Deep Learning. Worked on developing a State-of-the-art model for tracking humans in a Multi-camera setup using Deep Learning techniques to handle occlusion and varying lighting conditions under the Aicity Challenge 2025 (ICCV 2025).

Apr’2025: Successfully built a linux compositor under the guidance of Prof. Balagopal Komarath, as a part of the project course. The compositor is built using the wlroots library and supports advanced window management functionalities driven using protocols.

Mar’2025: Accepted for Summer Internship at IIT Bombay under Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan, in the field of Computer vision and Deep Learning.

Jan’2025: Signed up for a project course, with Prof. Balagopal Komarath as an advisor, of developing a window manager for the Linux Operating System, with the aim of enhancing the user experience and productivity.

Jan’2025: Certified in Harmonic Retracement patterns in Cryptocurrency Trading by Udemy.

Dec’2024: I participated in the Inter-IIT Tech Meet 2024, as a part of the IIT Gandhinagar contigent in the High prep problem statement of Zelta Automations.

Sept’2024: As a part of institute of course Business Ethics, and Responsible Leadership, I volunteered along with my batchmates to the JNV, to teach them some intriguing puzzles and activities.

Aug’2024: Attended the Opportunity Open source conference at IIT, Kanpur to explore society of open source and contribute to the community.

Academic Profile

My life so far.

Since, childhood I was driven by the hunger to understand the principles of how things work. My curiosity was further propelled by the research institutes in Pune such as IISER Pune, IUCAA pune and a few more, which I visited during my school days.

In 8th Standard, I joined the prestigious mathematics institute for Olympiad preparation, the M. Prakash Institute, where the teachers further made me curious to explore not only maths, but the physics.

During the next two years, I went on to explore various concepts of physics from the famous Feynman Lectures, a few lectures by Prof. Walter Lewin, and some books on the very intriguing topic of Quantum Entanglement.

In 11th grade, I navigated my JEE preparation at IITians Prashikshan Kendra in Pune and successfully conquered one of the most challenging exams, JEE Advanced 2023, securing an All India Rank of 3703, which led me to IIT Gandhinagar in Electrical Engineering

After the first year I received branch change to Computer Science and Engineering, based on academic excellence in the first year.

What are my interests?

Astrophotography: Something, which keeps me awake at night, while making me lost in the darkness of the universe. I have been an amateur astrophotographer for the past 4 years, and have been exploring the dark skies with my camera. Started this journey in collaboration with Jyotirvidya Parisanstha, Pune.

Not only the capturing, but also the image processing techniques have been a part of my learning journey.

Finance and Economics: It really fascinates of how people came up with ideas to predict the market, as well as other economical aspects. I have been exploring the field of Quantitative Finance, and have been learning the concepts of trading, and the financial markets.
